BL is a company offering a wide range of passenger cars and commercial vehicles to meet a variety of business needs.
My task was to design an e-commerce platform that would replace the offline market for selling and buying auto parts and accessories in a more convenient and faster way.
The first goal of the design process was understanding business goals and objectives. What are the goals and objectives for users?
Conceps
The interface of universal eCommerce platforms is not always suitable for car enthusiasts: there is no way to compare prices or organize a search for the necessary auto components by car brand. This creates issues on the site when it comes to queries.
Architecture
My first task was to understand the goals and objectives of the business. Find out what the goals and objectives of users are. Conduct research and analysis of information received from the customer.
Conduct independent research in open sources: study competitors, similar services and analytical reports, and develop a website architecture.
I have designed a full website structure and logic: Home page Sign-up/Sign-in pages for buyers , filters settings for buyers to receive offers, active orders and order history pages, checkout page.
Mobile shopping is expanding. It's estimated that over 73% of eCommerce sales will occur on mobile devices by the end of this year. With that in mind, I paid a lot of attention to the development of the mobile version and tried to make it user-friendly.
Ui Kit
To make life easier for myself and the developers, I stuck to the design system. Almost all design elements - fonts, buttons, tabs, inputs... I customized using components and variants.
This helped make my design system more flexible and quicker to use, and it was easy to change states for elements.
Motion desigh
I also designed a video presentation of the company on the homepage and achieved a rich and immersive design with video, motion graphics and 3D objects realized with Cinema 4d and After Effects.
